A “trade-first strategy”: Atlas appoints Kristian C. Anderson as EVP, global sales

Atlas Ocean Voyages has appointed Kristian C. Anderson as executive vice president of global sales.

In this role, the experienced luxury cruise executive will lead all sales initiatives as the brand deepens a “trade-first strategy” to expand in the luxury expedition cruise market.

Anderson will report directly to President and CEO James A. Rodriguez.

“It is an exciting time at Atlas Ocean Voyages and our travel advisor partners as we continue to raise the bar on the guest experience and elevate our brand, now adding Kristian C. Anderson to the executive team,” said Rodriguez in a press release. “I, like so many of our industry colleagues, have admired his commitment to advisors over the years, and his leadership position in the trade community is a welcome addition to our team of cruise veterans.”

Atlas Ocean Voyages launched its first ship, World Navigator, in August 2021.

The brand has since expanded the concept of expedition beyond polar expeditions by launching “Epicurean Expeditions” and “Cultural Expeditions” to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Caribbean.

Anderson recently concluded his tenure as senior vice president of global sales at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, where he played a pivotal role in launching the brand’s first three ultra-luxury yachts while developing a global sales structure and distribution.

His career spans executive roles at Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Silversea Cruises, and Qatar Airways.
