Sportscorp & Charrisma Travel announce leadership changes

Michael Pihach is an award-winning journalist with a keen interest in digital storytelling. In addition to PAX, Michael has also written for CBC Life, Ryerson University Magazine, IN Magazine, and DailyXtra.ca. Michael joins PAX after years of working at popular Canadian television shows, such as Steven and Chris, The Goods and The Marilyn Denis Show.

Lauren Harris has been promoted to president of Ontario-based Sportscorp and Charrisma Travel, according to an announcement that was posted to LinkedIn.

Since joining the Sportscorp team in 2021, Harris “has led with vision, strategy, and heart,” the company says, first as manager of marketing and leisure travel, then as director of operations.

“Her impact has been felt across the organization, and this new role is a reflection of her outstanding leadership and dedication,” the company wrote.

This transition also marks a new chapter for Shawn Ashton, who now steps into the role of CEO, where he’ll focus on strategy and operations to help drive continued growth and innovation across both brands.

“We’re proud of our team and excited for what’s ahead!” the agency wrote.
