John Lovell to join Virgin Voyages, Lindsay Pearlman named president of Travel Leaders Network

John Lovell, president of Travel Leaders Network (TLN), is leaving the company at the end of June for a new opportunity at Virgin Voyages. 

Since joining TLN in 2002, Lovell has held several leadership positions. He is widely respected for his insights on travel trends and his commitment to charitable causes. Under his leadership, Travel Leaders Network has grown to nearly $20 billion in annual sales while deepening partnerships with suppliers.

“John Lovell has made a lasting impact on Internova,” said J.D. O’Hara, CEO of Internova Travel Group, in a statement. “His commitment to supporting travel advisors and agencies has been key to solidifying our role as an industry leader. His legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire us. While we will miss him, I know that everyone at Internova wishes John success in his new role.”

Virgin Voyages released a statement Tuesday morning, announcing Lovell's new position as board member and senior advisor.

“Landing a leader like John Lovell is a monumental, defining moment for Virgin Voyages,” said the cruise line's CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu. “When someone with his reputation, experience and a $20 billion portfolio chooses to join your team, it’s a powerful signal that you’re building something extraordinary. John’s leadership will help us scale our growth and deepen the relationships that have always been core to who we are, especially with our First Mate community.”

Lovell’s appointment comes as Virgin Voyages reports a significant increase in advisor-driven revenue, continued global market expansion and prepares for the launch of its fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, in September 2025. 

His expertise will play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, advancing distribution capabilities and building even stronger advisor programs. 

Lovell will work directly with Saverimuttu to help scale commercial efforts, guide distribution strategy, and support global expansion efforts through 2025 and beyond.

He will serve as a strategic advisor across a number of key growth priorities and serve as a thought partner to the existing commercial and sales leadership team, supporting and amplifying the momentum already underway. 

Pearlman named president

Lindsay Pearlman, currently senior vice president and chief operating officer, will in turn become president of Travel Leaders Network, the company said. 

Pearlman joined the company in 2019 to work with international partners and later took on responsibility for managing relationships with Associate members. He previously served as Co-President of Ensemble Travel Group and held executive roles at American Express.
