Joel Danyluk joins Princess as BDM for BC, AB, SK & MB
A familiar travel industry face has boarded The Love Boat.
Joel Danyluk, formally of Carnival Cruise Line, has joined Princess Cruises as a business development manager, focusing on strategic accounts in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
"Every cruise client's journey begins somewhere and can evolve over time, which I could equate within my career. The Princess cruise line brand presence, and history, is legendary. The ability to grow within the Carnival Corporation felt like the perfect opportunity,” Danyluk told PAX.
At Princess, a Carnival Corporation brand, Danyluk will maintain regular communication with travel agency partners through relationship-building activities to drive strategic growth.
“I will gather insights and monitor performance with data-based decisions to help keep Princess top of mind within the market,” he said.
What is he most excited about?
“The added responsibility of having a homeport in Canada [Vancouver] and a focused effort on filling Princess ships in the key Alaska market,” he said.
He noted that he’s already been “living and breathing the brand” for a few months now – recently, he booked a cruise aboard the Sun Princess with his friends and family to Europe for summer 2026.
In a LinkedIn post, Danyluk expressed gratitude to Carnival Cruise Line—where he also served as a BDM—for helping him “rediscover not only fun, but also who I was as a person.”
“I am incredibly grateful for every opportunity the corporation has given me and for continuing to grow within it,” he wrote. “I’m looking forward to the new challenge of taking on additional responsibilities and filling ships that are in my own backyard!”
