Guillaume Cameron promoted to director of strategic accounts & host agencies at Oceania

B.C.-based Guillaume Cameron has been promoted to director of strategic accounts and host agencies at Oceania Cruises.

Cameron, who has worked for the luxury cruise brand for nearly seven years, started his new position on Jan. 1, 2025.  

In his new role, he will support Oceania’s host agency partners at a head office level while working alongside his team of strategic account managers as they provide sales support in growing the brand’s business

“We feel this separation allows for a better level of support for the host channel. It also allows us more face time at host events,” Cameron told PAX.

On accepting new responsibilities, Cameron said he “couldn’t be happier.”

“With the number of host agencies expanding, it's really exciting to see the growth of Oceania in that network and seeing how our structure is successful,” he said. “It will be great to manage a team once again. Since I have moved up from the strategic account manager role, it will be great to assist new team members with that same ‘lived experience.’”

Cameron said he has always loved Oceania's style of cruising.

“For us, the destination is exactly that, and that sense of exploration and immersion is what keep our guests coming back,” he said. “With the cuisine to match that experience, Oceania is something I really believe in and I hope that comes through. It's never been a ‘sell’ for me.”

What should travel advisors know about Oceania right now?

“Personally, I absolutely love our newest ships. Vista is just absolutely fantastic from the decor and feel on board. It's a great place to relax and unwind,” he said. “Now, with Allura coming for delivery this year, I am looking forward to the new tweaks on board to see how she builds on top of that.”
