Gina Goranson joins Norwegian as BDM for Western Canada
Norwegian Cruise Line is welcoming a new face to its Canadian sales team: Gina Goranson has joined the cruise line as a business development manager for Western Canada (BC, AB, SK and MB), PAX has learned.
Goranson, who previously worked as a BDM for Globus family of brands and Collette, started her new role on Monday (Sept. 22).
“I am thrilled to officially announce my new role with NCL,” she told PAX. “I am so excited to join the team as everyone has shown such a warm welcome! Coming from a primarily land-based background, I understand what it takes to get people excited about a destination. Now we are able to explore these incredible places in style!”
As a Western Canada BDM, Goranson will be responsible for driving NCL’s sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with travel partners, supporting them with consumer events, training, ship tours, strategic planning and more.
Joining the cruise industry is something Goranson has looked forward to and she’s “thrilled” to join with Norwegian, she said.
“I look forward to sharing this next chapter with my travel partners and discovering what we can achieve next. As you know, I'm always available and happy to help!” she said.
Marc-Antoine Kamel, NCL’s director of sales for Canada, voiced his excitement at welcoming Goranson aboard.
“With a wealth of experience and an exceptional reputation in the industry, Gina brings both expertise and integrity to her new role with NCL,” Kamel said. “Our Western Canadian partners deserve the very best, and we strongly believe Gina’s arrival will offer them exactly that and more. Her deep understanding of the market, combined with her proven track record, makes her the ideal person to lead our efforts across British Colombia, Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba. Welcome aboard Gina!”
