Eric Schmit named VP, sales, North America at Riviera

Riviera Travel has named Eric Schmit as vice president of sales for North America and Jarret Kettinger as regional sales director, based in South Carolina, as part of its strategic expansion into the U.S. market.

These appointments follow the UK-based river cruise company's recent launch of a North American headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, along with several other senior leadership hires.

Schmit brings over 14 years of experience in the luxury travel and hospitality sectors. Prior to joining Riviera, he served as director of business development and national accounts at Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

In that role, he was instrumental in transforming the sales structure, strengthening ties with top partners like Signature Travel Network and Virtuoso, and consistently exceeding revenue goals.

Schmit will report to Stuart Milan, Riviera Travel’s president for North America.

Kettinger also brings valuable industry experience, having most recently held the role of director of key and host accounts at Railbookers Group.
