Desirée Rolle joins Rocky Mountaineer as sales development manager
Desirée Rolle is all aboard for a new track in her career, joining The Armstrong Collective – which runs luxury rail experiences like Rocky Mountaineer in Western Canada and the Canyon Spirit in the American Southwest – as a sales development manager for Eastern Canada.
Rolle, formally of Couples Resorts, and most recently Exoticca, will oversee sales development in Ontario all the way to Newfoundland.
Speaking with PAX, Rolle said she decided to join the rail company because “they have an absolutely amazing product that people worldwide want to experience.”
“I was fortunate enough to take a journey 13 years ago on the Rocky Mountaineer and I still remember the beauty I saw. It was beyond stunning. Words don’t do the experience justice!” she said.
She's also excited to be working for a Canadian-owned company “that has been a dream for me for many years.”
“The entire team is incredible. I feel very proud to be working with some of the best in the industry,” she said.

As a sales development manager, Rolle’s role is to support the region’s many travel advisors.
“Anything from training, sales calls, consumer events, and of course, the famous Learning Journeys (which I’m excited about), I’m here to help advisors learn and grow their business,” Rolle said.
She noted the “amazing experiences” that Rocky Mountaineer, and The Armstrong Collective, have to offer travel advisors and their clients.

“Canada has some of the most magical landscapes on earth. I would love for my fellow Canadians to explore what’s in our own backyard aboard the Rocky Mountaineer,” she said.
“Our Red Rocks to Rockies route is also so exciting and adventurous. It goes through some extraordinary scenery in the American southwest, which I’ve never experienced before. I can’t wait!”

Rocky Mountaineer‘s new route
The news comes on the heels of Rocky Mountaineer launching a new Passage to the Peaks route through Canada, available for booking in June and July 2026.
The new journey explores the heart of the Canadian Rockies, featuring destinations like Jasper, Kamloops, Lake Louise and Banff.
Unlike other Rocky Mountaineer routes, Passage to the Peaks does not travel to the west coast, instead focusing on the evergreen forests, glacial lakes and mountains between Banff and Jasper.
On this daylight-only luxury rail experience, guests will witness the breathtaking scenery unfold through panoramic windows and glass-domes on GoldLeaf coaches.
Travellers will also be treated to gourmet meals, prepared by onboard chefs using fresh local ingredients, and personalized service from hosts.
