Brian McLaren joins Intrepid as head of sales for North America

Intrepid Travel has appointed Brian McLaren as its new head of sales for North America.

Based in Toronto, McLaren brings more than 20 years of travel industry experience to the role, spanning frontline sales, team leadership and business management. He most recently served as executive vice president of Flight Centre Canada.

“What has kept me coming back? I love this industry, I love the people in it, and I love what travel can do for people,” wrote McLaren on his LinkedIn page, where he announced his new job.

In his new position, McLaren will lead Intrepid’s sales team across North America as the adventure travel company continues to grow its presence in Canada and the United States.

According to McLaren, Canada is currently Intrepid’s fastest-growing market, while the U.S. is on track to become the company’s largest market globally by 2030.

“I’m proud to join a company that I’ve had a ton of respect for over the years. And now, I get to be part of an amazing team of purpose-driven people delivering experiences that truly live up to the promise of responsible travel,” he said.

“It’s exactly the work I want to be doing in one of the most exciting regions for Intrepid.”

Looking ahead, McLaren said he is eager to connect with colleagues throughout the region and support the company’s continued sales growth.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know my colleagues across North America and beyond, and to leading our sales team as we help more people discover and book their next adventure,” he said.
