YYC breaks records as Calgary Airports accelerates growth in 2025
Calgary Airports has released its 2025 Annual Report, Elevate, showing strong performance and major investments across YYC Calgary International Airport and YBW Springbank Airport.
In 2025, YYC welcomed 19.4 million travellers, representing 2.7 per cent growth over 2024, including two consecutive summer months with more than two million travellers moving through the airport – a first in YYC’s history.
Throughout the year, the airports added 13 new routes alongside airline partners, for a total of 108 non-stop destinations by the end of 2025.
“In 2025, our focus was simple: keep people moving safely and smoothly while expanding choice for travellers,” said Chris Dinsdale, president & CEO, in a press release. “With passenger volumes up and new routes added, we also delivered major milestones like reopening the West Runway and launching Phase I of Centralized Security Screening to support a more reliable operation and a better start-to-finish travel experience.”
The report outlines progress across Calgary Airports’ operations, infrastructure, guest experience and community impact, among others, including completion of a milestone project and advancement across several key initiatives designed to enhance resilience and improve the guest experience.
