WestJet expands Delta codeshare with Vancouver–Los Angeles route
(Delta Air Lines)

WestJet customers will soon have access to Delta Air Lines' new Vancouver–Los Angeles service through an expanded codeshare partnership between the two carriers, according to Aeroroutes.

The new YVR-LAX route, launching in late November 2026, will carry WestJet's code on Delta-operated flights between the two cities, the outlet reports.

As PAX previously reported, Deltain June, announced that it was expanding its network from Los Angeles with the return of service to Vancouver (YVR).

The service will be Delta’s only direct route connecting Southern California and Canada.

According to aviation analytics firm Cirium, Delta last served the Los Angeles–Vancouver market in 2018.

WestJet is also adding nine Delta-operated U.S. routes to its codeshare agreement, Aeroroutes reports.

The newly-added services include:

  • Detroit – Las Vegas
  • Detroit – Los Angeles
  • Detroit – San Diego
  • Detroit – San Francisco
  • Detroit – Seattle
  • Minneapolis/St. Paul – Los Angeles
  • Minneapolis/St. Paul – Orlando
