Delta to return to Vancouver this November
(Delta Air Lines)

Delta Air Lines is expanding its network from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with the return of service to Vancouver (YVR).

Beginning Nov. 21, the SkyTeam Alliance member will operate twice-daily nonstop flights between LAX and YVR using an Airbus A319. The service will be Delta’s only direct route connecting Southern California and Canada.

According to schedule data from aviation analytics firm Cirium, Delta last served the Los Angeles–Vancouver market in 2018.

YVR is also a large base for Delta's partner, WestJet.

The new service comes as Delta scales back its growth plans in response to rising fuel costs.

Earlier this year, the airline projected capacity growth of about three per cent in 2026 compared with 2025.

However, after fuel prices surged following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran in late February, Delta withdrew its full-year forecast amid increasing uncertainty.
