Virgin Atlantic to fly London Heathrow-Phuket in winter 2026

Virgin Atlantic is launching new services between London Heathrow and Phuket for winter 2026, building on the airline’s Eastward expansion and connecting North American customers with Thailand’s beaches and nightlife via London.

The three times a week service will operate seasonally beginning Oct. 18, 2026, as the only direct route from London Heathrow to Phuket with connectivity at under two hours for Virgin Atlantic customers travelling from New York JFK.

Customers can book flights from November 26, 2025.

This new service marks the latest chapter in the airline’s expansion Eastwards, complementing its seasonal services to the Maldives and Dubai as well as five services a day to India including Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

The new service will offer customers connectivity to Busan as well as to Japan, Greater China, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our new direct service to Phuket, giving our customers a flavor of one of Southeast Asia’s most captivating destinations. We can’t wait for our customers to experience our trademark hospitality on their next unforgettable journey exploring Thailand’s unique heritage, natural beauty and delicious cuisine,” said Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer, Virgin Atlantic, in a press release.
