United enters Canada’s airline loyalty space with co-branded credit card
United Airlines is entering Canada’s loyalty space with the launch of the United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard.
In partnership with Neo Financial, the program, announced Tuesday (Feb. 24), promises valuable travel benefits like priority boarding, a free checked bag and new rewards for Canadians, reads a press release.
The co-branded credit card is set to launch this spring and Canadians can join a waitlist here.
Accelerated rewards & premium benefits
Launching in April, the card has an enhanced welcome offer for those who join the waitlist. The first 3,000 customers to join the waitlist will also secure an additional 5,000 bonus miles on top of the welcome offer when activated.
Cardmembers will be able to earn additional miles when travelling with Star Alliance carriers and can use miles to book travel with any Star Alliance airline, providing an option outside of Air Canada’s Aeroplan.
Cardholders also get access to the Neo Rewards network, featuring over 10,000 local and national partners, where they can earn accelerated miles at participating locations nationwide.
“At Neo Financial, we’re committed to giving Canadians more ways to build momentum with their money,” said Jeff Adamson, chief commercial officer and co-founder of Neo Financial in a press release. “Partnering with United allows us to bring even more value to travellers by pairing Neo Financials’ real-time rewards experience with one of the world’s leading airline loyalty programs. The United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard card will add a powerful new option for Canadians who want to turn everyday effort into meaningful travel rewards."
