Transat offers more flights south & off-the-beaten-path options

This winter, Transat is offering more than 70 direct flights to the south from Toronto during peak season, along with a daily flight to Punta Cana and Cancun. The airline is also offering new flights to Cartagena, Managua and Santo Domingo, and increased flight frequency to San Jose in Costa Rica, Puerto Vallarta and Havana.
From Ottawa, there will be a new flight to Cayo Coco, in addition to two weekly flights to Punta Cana and Cancun, while travellers from Western Canada will receive a new flight to Los Cabos from Vancouver, and flights from Calgary to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun three times a week during peak season. Travellers from Edmonton will have access to four weekly flights to Cancun and three to Puerto Vallarta.
From Halifax, Air Transat will be operating three weekly flights to Punta Cana and two to Santa Clara, Varadero, Cancun and Orlando.
What’s more, once in destination, Transat is inviting vacationers to “discover the South in a different way this winter” by offering flexible, off-the-beaten-path vacation options this winter season.
In addition to its all-inclusive and à la carte hotels, Transat now features even more home and apartment rentals, available for one week or several months.
Other discovery-oriented travel options include cruise packages in the Caribbean and guided tours in the South, which invite travellers to explore the many facets of countries like Cuba, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Transat is also offering Experience Duo packages, which blend beach vacations with cultural experiences, along with a wide range of excursion options.
In all, Air Transat will operate direct flights to 35 destinations in the South from 22 Canadian cities during winter.
