Transat increases routes, capacity for winter

Air Transat will add 16 new routes to sun destinations for its 2015-16 winter program, along with increased capacity on flights to both the south and Europe.

In Quebec, three new routes have been added to the south program: La Romana in the Dominican Republic from Quebec City, as well as Havana, Cuba and Rio Hato, Panama from Montreal. For Ontario, new flights have been added to Rio Hato and La Romana. In Atlantic Canada, Air Transat will add service from Halifax to Cayo Coco, Cuba, along with a new flight from St. John’s to Orlando. And in Western Canada, three new destinations in Mexico have been added to the program – Ixtapa and Cozumel from Edmonton and Calgary, and Huatulco from Regina – while flights to Santa Clara, Cuba from Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, Saskatoon and Edmonton have also been introduced.

For Europe, Air Transat will offer up to five weekly flights to London from Toronto, along with weekly service from YYZ to Glasgow and Manchester. Year-round daily flights to Paris from Montreal will also be offered, along with a weekly flight to London (Gatwick) from Vancouver, which will be increased to two weekly flights starting in February.
