Philippine Airlines ramps up flights to Vancouver, Toronto & New York
(Philippine Airlines)

Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced Friday (July 3) that it will expand its North American operations beginning in November by adding more non-stop flights to Vancouver, Toronto, and New York.

"North America continues to be one of Philippine Airlines most important markets," PAL President Richard Nuttall said in a statement.

Starting Nov. 17, PAL will raise its Manila–Vancouver service from seven to 10 flights per week. Meanwhile, Manila–Toronto flights will increase from three to four weekly beginning Dec. 5.

The airline will also boost its Manila–New York route from the current three weekly flights to five per week starting Dec. 2, during peak Dec. 2026 to January 2027 holiday travel season.

"These additional flights strengthen our position as the preferred nonstop carrier between the Philippines and North America whilst providing our customers with greater choice, improved connectivity, and more opportunities to travel, do business, and reconnect with family and loved ones,” Nuttall said.

The expanded schedule is expected to improve connections through Manila to major Southeast Asian destinations, including Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hanoi.

Passengers will also benefit from PAL's partnerships with American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and WestJet, allowing for smoother onward travel to numerous cities across the United States and Canada.

The added flights will also increase cargo capacity to accommodate rising trade volumes, e-commerce demand, and high-value shipments between the Philippines and North America.

Earlier this year, the airline also revealed plans to launch thrice-weekly nonstop flights between Manila and Chicago beginning Nov. 9.
