More TravelBrands departures; Montagnese takes on new roles

Following yesterday's news about the departure of three executives at TravelBrands, CEO Frank DeMarinis has confirmed that Firdosh Bulsara, vice-president, commercial for ALBATours is also no longer with the company.
Bulsara took leadership of the division following the retirement of Gianni Bragagnolo, who managed and grew the brand for 37 years.
Other sources have confirmed that Aggie Stoduto, who was key to the ALBA operations, has also been let go after nearly two decades of service.
DeMarinis confirmed the previously reported-on departures of Kim Uno, director of strategic partnerships; Dawn Rzepka, director, national sales; and Al Budhwani, executive vice-president, retail division. Brad Miron, who joined TravelBrands as vice-president, marketing and brand development, left in late August.
In regards to the "ongoing restructuring initiatives," the company said that its key mandate is to "continue on a growth trajectory that will allow TravelBrands to emerge as a leader within the Canadian marketplace.
"Accordingly, we continue to review ongoing initiatives throughout the organization that will enable us to move forward with the company’s new vision and strategy."
Nino Montagnese, who joined TravelBrands in February 2015 as senior VP, Sunquest & Holiday House, will be heading both the national sales team and Sears Travel divisions.
Speculation indicates that more changes are coming as TravelBrands continues through the CCAA process, of which it has been granted an extension to the stay of proceedings until Sept. 30.
