Millennium Leisure Travels Inc. cheers to 15 years

Millennium Leisure Travels Inc. celebrated 15 years in the business last night at the Hyatt Regency Hotel’s King Street Social Club. The intimate meet-and-greet event was also an opportunity for Director Kailan Ariyarajah and his colleagues to individually thank corporate clients for their ongoing support.

This personal touch is how the company has built momentum over the years.

Millennium Leisure Travels Inc. hit its stride in 2010 by working closely with major airlines.

“We get the best net fares,” Ariyarajah said.

Newton Bastiampillia, Quebec Sales Manager, added, “We negotiate with airlines and based on our sales, we get number one deals to most of the destinations. At the moment, the company is specializing with the South East Asian market.”

Due to the increasing Asian population within Canada, Asia has become the number one travel destination for Millennium Leisure Travels, Ariyarajah pointed out. The company has a diverse tourism offering, however, catering to destinations in Canada and worldwide.

Millennium Leisure Travels markets tours to everyone from backpacking adventurers to foodies in search of the gourmet. Rail journeys and ocean cruises are also popular.

As the company continues to grow, its aim is to continue providing the best value for their clients, and this means prioritizing customer service. They have a call centre with live support available 24 hours a day so that customers receive immediate assistance.

Clients are continually surprised by the company’s attentive approach to customer service, Bastiampillia told PAX. After travellers return home, staff follow-up to ensure customers were pleased with their flight, hotel, and overall service. “We make sure they’re comfortable, and that’s why they come back to us,” he said. Staff also keep travel agents happy by sending commissions within seven days of a sale, he added.

Looking forward, the company hopes to further delve into the online market and is currently negotiating with a few airlines to become general sales agents (GSA) in Canada.
