Flydubai suspends Israel flights after cockpit incident
Flydubai has temporarily suspended flights to and from Israel following the cockpit incident aboard flight FZ1073, which diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, on September 30.
The airline confirmed the suspension on October 1, telling AeroTime that the decision was taken in coordination with the relevant authorities while the investigation continues. It did not specify when services would resume.
Flydubai said it was coordinating with authorities, regulators and airport stakeholders, and would support affected passengers with alternative arrangements where possible.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates has launched an investigation into the circumstances and motives behind the incident, according to the UAE state news agency, cited by Reuters.
Investigators are examining whether it involved terrorism, prior planning or outside direction. No final determination of motive has been announced
