CTA clears WestJet for codeshare flights to New Zealand & Fiji
(WestJet)

The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) has approved requests from WestJet to operate scheduled international service, through code sharing, to New Zealand and Fiji.

The decisions were posted to the CTA’s website on March 11.

“The Agency is satisfied that the applicant meets all the applicable requirements,” wrote the CTA in two separate verdicts.

The CTA, as a result, has granted WestJet the necessary licences, which are governed by conditions set out in Canada’s Air Transportation Regulations.

Codeshare agreements let several airlines offer seats on the same flight under their own flight numbers.

PAX has reached out to WestJet for comment.
