Canada Jetlines has signed a contract with a "leading cruise company" that will see the carrier provide charter operations this July and August, according to a press release issued on May 17.

It is unclear which cruise company Jetlines’ is working with. PAX has reached out to the airline for clarification.

Earlier this year, Jetlines' Chief Commercial Officer Duncan Bureau indicated that a cruise partnership was coming to enhance flights to Melbourne, Florida (which were part of Jetlines' initial schedule, until that route was postponed).

“We wanted to get aligned with all of the cruise partners that would make that route successful,” Bureau told PAX in February, noting that Jetlines (at the time) was in talks with “all the major cruise lines” to offer packages as it went live on various distribution platforms.

Charters & contracts

The cruise contract, regardless, complements other ACMI agreements Jetlines has secured with airlines, private membership groups, pro sports teams, travel agents/tour operators and government entities.

For example: Jetlines recently secured a contract to provide aircraft and crew to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for their regular season games. The new leisure carrier has also inked a similar deal with the Ottawa Redblacks.

Canada Jetlines has completed more than 150 charter and ACMI flights since the beginning of 2023 and expects to fly more in the coming months.

The airline also currently operates flights between Toronto Pearson and Las Vegas, as well as Toronto Pearson to Cancun.
