Arajet achieves milestone with record passenger numbers in 2024

Arajet, the Caribbean low-fare airline, has set a significant milestone by surpassing half a million passengers flown in the first half of 2024, marking a new high in its operational history.

According to reports from the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic (JAC), Arajet transported approximately 399,000 passengers from January to June.

When combined with over 120,000 passengers on connecting flights operated by the airline, Arajet's total passenger count for the first six months of the year reaches about 520,000.

This figure is remarkable as it equals the total number of passengers flown by the airline throughout the entirety of 2023, achieved in just half a year.

Further growth projected

Arajet officials have projected further growth, aiming to carry approximately 1,100,000 passengers by the end of 2024. The airline plans to achieve this through expanding its route network and commencing operations at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) on November 1st, which will enhance connectivity across the continent.

The latest statistics from the Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Board for June underscore Arajet's dominance in the local market.

In that month alone, Arajet recorded the highest passenger movements, cementing its position as the most active airline in its nearly two years of operations. Impressively, Arajet accounted for 79% of all passengers traveling on Dominican airlines across various airports in the country during this period.

In response to these achievements, Arajet reaffirmed its commitment to advancing commercial aviation standards and providing a superior travel experience aboard its fleet of modern and comfortable aircraft.

The airline expressed gratitude to its Dominican clientele, who have embraced Arajet as their preferred carrier to 23 destinations. Additionally, Arajet acknowledged the trust of transit passengers who utilize its services as a key hub for connections spanning from Canada to the Southern Cone.

With ambitious plans ahead, Arajet looks forward to further expanding its presence and enhancing its service offerings, aiming to solidify its position as a leader in the Caribbean aviation sector.
