American Express and Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality are expanding their airport lounge partnership in Canada, with new Aspire Amex Lounges opening in Calgary and Montreal.

The expansion includes a new domestic lounge at YYC Calgary Airport, opening Wednesday (Sept. 16), as well as a new transborder lounge at Montreal-Trudeau airport, scheduled to open by early 2027.

The partnership builds on the companies’ first co-branded Aspire Amex Lounge, which opened in the domestic departures area at Montreal-Trudeau in September 2025.

"Airport lounge access is an important part of the value we deliver to our Cardmembers, particularly as we look for ways to elevate their journeys and make them more rewarding," said Kim Kuzmak, vice-president of lifestyle benefits, partnerships and brand at American Express Canada, in a statement.

"We saw a strong response to the Aspire Amex Lounge in Montréal, and we're building on that momentum with Aspire to expand the experience to more Cardmembers across Canada."

The new Calgary lounge will be available to travellers departing YYC for domestic destinations, while the upcoming Montreal location will serve passengers travelling to the United States.

Eligible American Express Cardmembers will receive priority lounge and waitlist access at the Aspire Amex Lounges. Food options will include a combination of buffet selections and tableside ordering.

The original Montreal domestic Aspire Amex Lounge has recorded more than 50,000 Cardmember visits since opening last September, according to the companies.
