Amadeus' January-June air bookings up 10%

Amadeus saw a 10 per cent increase in airline bookings made by travel agents in the first half of 2015, the company reported recently.

With 265.9 million air travel bookings made by agents from January to June, the strongest growth was reported in Western Europe and North America, representing 39.5 per cent and 17 per cent of the increase, respectively. The 10 per cent increase compares to an industry average of 4.9 per cent, according to Amadeus.

Amadeus’ first-half 2015 revenue also increased 14.2 per cent to 1,976.8 million euro.
