Air North adds year-round Yellowknife–Edmonton flights

Air North is expanding its network between the Northwest Territories and Alberta with a new year-round route connecting Yellowknife and Edmonton.

According to Aeroroutes, the Canadian carrier will launch scheduled service between Yellowknife Airport (YZF) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG) on Nov. 26, 2026.

The route will initially operate once weekly using a Boeing 737-500 aircraft.

Air North is set to increase frequencies for the summer 2027 season, with the route moving to twice-weekly service beginning May 21, 2027.

More Vancouver flights

Air North is also ramping up its seasonal service between Yellowknife and Vancouver.

The airline launched its 2026-27 seasonal operation on the route on Aug. 22 – approximately three months earlier than during the 2025-26 season, Aeroroutes reports.

Yellowknife-Vancouver is currently operating twice weekly, with frequencies scheduled to increase to four flights per week beginning Nov. 20.

The route will see another boost in the new year, operating between five and six times weekly from Jan. 1 through March 26, 2027.
