Air France reveals redesigned La Première lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle

Air France has unveiled its newly-redesigned La Première lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the latest investment in the carrier's ongoing effort to elevate its premium first-class experience both on the ground and in the air.

Located in Terminal 2E, the revamped lounge spans more than 1,000 square metres and has been redesigned to offer greater privacy, comfort and personalized service for La Première customers.

The project follows the launch of Air France's enhanced La Première airport experience in summer 2024 and complements the airline's new first-class suites now being introduced on select Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Designed by Air France in collaboration with MARKS Brandimage, the lounge features warm materials, ambient lighting and secluded spaces intended to create a more intimate atmosphere for travellers.

Guests are welcomed by Air France's signature fragrance, AF001, created by Francis Kurkdjian, artistic director of Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

Redesigned dining

The redesigned dining area now offers additional seating and full table service.

The lounge, which won Skytrax's award for Best First Class Lounge Dining Experience in 2025, features a menu created by celebrated French chef Alain Ducasse and his team.

Signature dishes include coquillettes with ham and black truffle, seasonal vegetarian options and the chef's well-known rum or Armagnac baba.

The menu is complemented by a curated wine and champagne selection overseen by Air France head sommelier Xavier Thuizat.

Elsewhere, the lounge's seating areas have been reconfigured with larger armchairs, sofas and private alcoves, while artwork and historical imagery celebrating the airline's heritage are displayed throughout the space.

The Sisley spa has also been expanded, adding a second treatment room to provide additional wellness services for travellers before departure or during connections.

A redesigned relaxation zone now includes private rooms equipped with day beds, duvets and pillows, while a new workspace offers dedicated areas for meetings, phone calls and quiet work.

Continuing its rotating art program, Air France is also showcasing a new installation by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel to mark the reopening.

The artwork, titled Wonder Block, features amber and Indian pink tones and is designed to evoke the appearance of a sculptural wall or totem.

Private suites available

In addition to the lounge, La Première guests can reserve one of three private suites located adjacent to the facility.

First introduced in 2024, each 45-square-metre suite includes a living room, bedroom with a double bed, bathroom and outdoor patio. Guests are welcomed with champagne and caviar from Sturia and can enjoy Alain Ducasse's lounge menu in complete privacy before their flight or during a layover.
