Air Canada unveils Milano Cortina 2026 livery featuring team Canada athletes
Air Canada has revealed a special aircraft livery celebrating Canadian Olympians and Paralympians ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
The design, featured on an Airbus A330 designated as Fin 940, showcases images of Team Air Canada Athlete Ambassadors.
The aircraft's first scheduled flight, AC894 to Milan, departed today.
As the Official Airline of Team Canada, Air Canada will transport more than 750 athletes and delegation members to and from the Games.
The carrier's employee-driven Going for Gold program supports seamless travel experiences for Canada's athletes.
Andy Shibata, vice president, brand at Air Canada, said the livery serves as a tribute to the athletes representing Team Canada.
"As the official airline of Team Canada, we are honoured to support our athletes on their journey to Milano Cortina 2026," Shibata said.
"Bringing Canada's Olympians and Paralympians to compete on the world's greatest sporting stage is a point of pride for all of us at Air Canada."
Jacqueline Ryan, chief brand and commercial officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation, said Air Canada has been a longtime supporter of Team Canada.
"This design emphasizes the strength and soaring ambitions of Canadian athletes," Ryan said.
"The new livery will no doubt inspire Canadians and help rally us all together on the road to Milano Cortina 2026."
Karen O'Neill, CEO of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, said seeing Paralympic and Olympic athletes celebrated makes the Games feel closer.
"Thank you to Air Canada for their incredible commitment to Team Canada and for their support and care in providing the athletes, coaches, and all team staff with a comfortable journey to the Games," O'Neill said.
Air Canada announced eight Team Air Canada Athlete Ambassadors:
