VIDEO: TTAND celebrates 6 years with birthday bubbles

The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) celebrated its sixth birthday on Thursday (March 19th), marking the occasion by releasing a video that would make Canada's Public Health Agency coo.

The company spent their big day in an undisclosed washroom, singing happy birthday to TTAND "in the amount of time it should take you to wash your hands," as TTAND's Director of Marketing Shean Carmichael explains in the video.

Canada's health officials are urging Canadians to wash their hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds (including palms, the backs of each hand, between fingers, thumbs and under nails) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Twenty seconds. About the time it takes to sing the Happy Birthday song twice. 

And that's exactly what you get in TTAND's latest release. 

Standing over a sink with a camera propped upwards, offering viewers a sink's-eye view, the video shows Carmichael, alongside TTAND Founder Flemming Friisdahl, demonstrating a thorough hand-washing technique, all the while singing happy birthday in unison. 

The soapy sing-along gets even more lit when a blue bubble filter suddenly appears, suggesting the men had achieved a sudsy, frothy lather.

But they aren't disinfecting alone. 

The camera then cuts to TTAND Vice-President of Travel Agent Services Penny Martin and Director of Finance Nicola Gowe, who are singing and washing in a separate bathroom of their own, proving that a good birthday party knows no boundaries. 

At heart, the video brings a little fun and celebration to what TTAND calls "very challenging times" while also embracing the importance of washing hands during the COVID-19 outbreak.

"To every agent hosted with TTAND, you made today possible by choosing to move your business to TTAND or to start your travel career by joining TTAND," the host agency wrote on its Facebook page on Thursday. "This celebration is as much yours as it is for the team at the Support Office. Whether you have just started with us, or joined somewhere along the way, THANK YOU for making TTAND your choice. The host agency also thanked its supplier partners:
