TRAVELSAVERS Canada sees growth rate of 95% year over year
TRAVELSAVERS Canada is reporting a strong start to 2024, welcoming 17 new agencies while collectively generating CAD$40 million in sales, according to a press release.
The numbers follow a steady pace of growth set last year, with a 95 per cent increase in sales, the company says.
“Our new agency owners are seasoned and professional travel advisors. More than 30 of them were motivated to leverage their business acumen by launching their own ventures. Their trust in our brand and confidence in our support systems have been instrumental in their decision to join our network,” said Jane Clementino, senior vice-president and general manager of TRAVELSAVERS Canada, in a statement.
The consortium has also inked new partnerships with bold-faced suppliers such as Sandals Resorts, Club Med, The Palace Company and Playa Hotels & Resorts.
Another new partner, Just You (which is owned by G Adventures) offers experiences for the growing market of solo travellers.
TRAVELSAVERS expands in Canada
Last month, TRAVELSAVERS Canada, acknowledging its growth, announced the appointment of Sandra Joaquim as director of supplier marketing.
Joaquim will play an integral role in managing the communications for 100 suppliers for annual marketing and advertising campaigns across all channels.
As well, Clare Burke was promoted to the North American role of director, education and training.
She will manage professional development activities, leading the creation of agendas and curriculums for travel advisors, agency owners and managers at events.
Burke will also further develop strategic education plans for TRAVELSAVERS to enhance advisor performance.
