Top-selling Canadian advisors discover the magic of Tunisia
Pathways of the World – Sentiers du monde (POTW - SDM), in partnership with the Tunisian National Tourist Office (ONTT), recently hosted Canadian travel advisors on an incentive trip to Tunisia.
The initiative was designed to reward the top-selling agents and team members of tripvoyage.ca and tripcentral.ca, while also offering them a chance to experience a unique destination that is still unfamiliar to many Canadians outside Quebec.
"Tunisia is a fabulous destination, but still widely under the radar for most Canadians outside Quebec. It was the perfect time to introduce it to influential travel professionals," said Pierre Couture, president of POTW – SDM, in a press release. "Our goal wasn’t just to reward, but to inspire. These agents are the bridge between our tours and the travelers. By allowing them to live the experience firsthand, we’re giving them the tools to tell better stories, sell more effectively, and dream bigger."

Thanks to the partnership with ONTT, agents enjoyed a deeply immersive, culturally rich experience full of authentic surprises.
The nine-day journey followed a meticulously designed itinerary by Sentiers du Monde and its local partner, immersing participants in Tunisia’s lesser-known wonders.
Highlights included:
- The lively medina of Sousse
- The El Jem Colosseum
- The troglodyte homes of Matmata
- The ksour of Tataouine
- The desert dunes of Ksar Ghilane
Guests also experienced unforgettable moments like stargazing in a Saharan desert camp, a 4x4 adventure through the mountain oases of Chebika, a visit to the Star Wars filming location at Ong Jmel, and scenic walks in Tunis’ medina and the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Saïd.
Every stop on the tour blended cultural heritage with seamless planning—a testament to POTW – SDM’s expertise in immersive travel.

What travel pros had to say
“Every detail was thoughtfully planned—immersive and exhilarating,” stated Louise Endean of tripcentral.ca. “Walking through the actual colosseum where Gladiator was filmed, sleeping under the stars in the Sahara, riding camels, crossing dunes by 4x4… it was incredible!”
Endean said each stop offered a deep dive into Tunisia’s history and culture. “Our guides were phenomenal—present, passionate, and always attentive,” she added.
Martine Vallée of tripvoyage.ca especially loved sleeping in a desert tent and riding a camel.
"My trip to Tunisia with POTW - SDM was an unforgettable experience, rich in cultural discoveries and stunning landscapes,” Vallée stated.

Heather Felice of tripcentral.ca admitted that Tunisia wasn’t on her travel list.
“But I’m so grateful I had the chance to be part of this trip and discover
the country,” Felice said. “Every day brought a new surprise—varied landscapes from the Sahara Desert to mountains, fertile plains, and bustling marketplaces. Welcoming people, a rich and diverse culture and history waiting to be understood.”
The trip also offered excellent value compared to many European destinations, she said.

“I felt completely safe and highly recommend visiting Tunisia on an organized tour. Highlights for me included riding an Arabian camel, visiting Berber villages, and so much more,” she said.
Looking ahead, Pathways of the World plans to launch more initiatives like this one.
"Offering travel agents the opportunity to live our tours firsthand gives them powerful tools not only to sell more effectively, but to reignite their passion for the profession," stated Pierre.
