ASAP Travel & Tours, Carolyn Bella plead guilty: TICO

ASAP Travel & Tours and Carolyn Bella have each plead guilty and been convicted of one count of carrying on business with Maria Rowena Santiago Belen, who was required to be registered as a travel agent but was not in fact so registered, contrary to section 20 of Ontario Regulation 26/05 made under the Travel Industry Act, 2002.

ASAP Travel is a travel agent registered under the Act and it operates in Toronto and elsewhere in Ontario. 

Bella, president & manager, was sentenced to pay a fine of $5,000 plus a Victim Surcharge fee, for a total of $6,250. She was given five years to pay the fine.

ASAP Travel received a suspended sentence.
