Air Canada Vacations (ACV) is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its ACV@Home Program, which was introduced to specifically support independent travel advisors.

Since its launch, ACV@Home has become “a cornerstone of support,” offering tools, training, and community engagement opportunities, ACV said in a news release.

In its inaugural year, the division has empowered advisors across Canada to thrive in their businesses, adapting to new challenges and embracing innovative solutions.

"I am delighted to witness the phenomenal success achieved within the program's first year. The rapid growth and positive impact on independent travel advisors emphasizes the effectiveness of our commitment to innovation and support,” stated Erminia Nigro, general manager of sales for Ontario, and Atlantic Canada at Air Canada Vacations, in a release.

“The dedication and resilience displayed by our advisors has exceeded expectations, making ACV@Home a true example of success in the ever-evolving travel industry. We look forward to building on this achievement and continuing to empower our advisors for even greater milestones in the years to come."

Simply the Best Awards

As part of the anniversary celebrations, ACV has announced its second annual “Simply the Best Awards,” which will take place virtually on March 5, 2024.

This prestigious event will recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of independent travel advisors within the ACV@Home Program.

In addition to the awards ceremony, ACV will unveil Phase 2.0 of the ACV Masterclass, featuring Passport to Benefits, an exclusive program designed to provide independent travel advisors with even more tools and resources to enhance their expertise and grow their businesses.

Air Canada Vacations is also celebrating the addition of Tina Kensett, who now oversees ACV@Home in Western Canada, and the promotion of Krista Rothfuchs to the role of independent advisors manager.

Rothfuchs, who was instrumental in the launch of ACV@Home, will continue to support ACV's independent advisors in Ontario and Eastern Canada.

Looking ahead, ACV will launch on-the-road initiatives across Canada and introduce three new Niche@Home accounts to its portfolio, including Transat@Home, Fareconnect, and GOTravel, alongside founding members TravelOnly, TTAND, FCI, Nexion, Centre Holidays, and Trevello.
