My journey begins with the undeniable icon of China: the Great Wall. Stretching thousands of miles through the country’s northern landscapes, this architectural marvel bears witness to the determination and perseverance of the Chinese people through the ages. Badaling, Mutianyu and Jinshanling are all sections that allow us to explore this monumental structure and imagine the centuries of history that took place along its ramparts.

The Forbidden City: The Emperor’s Palace

In Beijing, the Forbidden City transports us to the imperial era of China. Built more than five centuries ago, this city within a city was once the exclusive domain of the Chinese emperors and their court. Today, its majestic doors open to visitors, revealing artistic and cultural treasures of incomparable richness.

The Terracotta Army: Guardians of History

Xi'an, a city steeped in the very essence of ancient China, unfolds before its visitors an incomparable historical richness. Among its most famous treasures is the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. It was in 1974 that the world discovered the extent of this archaeological wonder, composed of thousands of soldiers and horses, frozen in the eternity of terracotta and buried to protect the emperor in his passage to the afterlife.

The majestic ramparts of Xi'an, imperious vestiges of the past, still stand, witnesses of a bygone era. Strolling or cycling these centuries-old walls offers a unique perspective on the city’s history and a panoramic view that embraces the present and the past.

The Great Wild Goose Pagoda, erected in the 7th century, symbolizes the grandeur of Xi'an. From its summit, visitors contemplate a city in perpetual change, while diving into the serene atmosphere of the surrounding temples and gardens.

The forest of the steles of Xi'an, a true open-air museum, unfolds its engraved treasures, offering the curious a journey through the ages, at the heart of the history and culture of the region.

And within the bustling city, Shuyuanmen Street invites you to stroll, shop and discover the famous cut paper of Xi'an, witnesses of an ancestral know-how carefully preserved.

Xi'an is also the echo of ancient temples, the tranquility of picturesque gardens, and a thousand other wonders to explore. A city where every stone tells a story, where every street vibrates with the imprint of past centuries, offering each visitor a unique experience: a journey through time and space where millennial history blends in harmony with the frantic pace of modern life.

Mogao Caves: Buddhist Treasures

On the Silk Road, the caves of Mogao invite us to explore a world of spirituality and art. Nestled in the cliffs, these caves contain an impressive collection of statues, frescoes and Buddhist manuscripts that testify to the harmony between man and nature.

The Yellow Mountains: Poetic Inspirations

The yellow mountains, or Huangshan, captivate our imagination with their striking natural beauty. Between rocky peaks, twisted pines and mesmerizing mists, this UNESCO World Heritage site transports us to a world where reality exceeds fiction, inspiring poets and artists for centuries.

In the Chinese capital, Beijing, the past and present intermingle harmoniously. In addition to its historical gems, such as the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, the city vibrates with a modern energy embodied by its lively neighbourhoods, traditional restaurants and colourful markets.

Shanghai: Symbol of Progress

Shanghai, a dynamic metropolis, plunges us into the future with its dizzying skyscrapers and futuristic skyline. The Bund offers an iconic view of this ever-changing city, while the Pudong district symbolizes innovation and modernity in its purest form.

Xi'an: Imperial Heritage and Muslim Tradition

In Xi'an, the former imperial capital, we discover a fascinating mix of history and cultural diversity. In addition to the Terracotta Army, the Muslim quarter plunges us into an enchanting atmosphere, where the Great Mosque and culinary delights remind us of the influence of the Silk Road.

Chengdu: Panda Sanctuary and Spicy Flavours

Chengdu, cradle of the giant panda, offers us an enchanted interlude in the heart of nature. At the Panda Breeding Research Centre, we observe these adorable creatures in their natural habitat before venturing into the bustling alleys to taste the spicy delights of Sichuan.

Hangzhou: Peaceful Escape by the Lake

Hangzhou, with its legendary West Lake, embodies serenity and timeless beauty. Pagodas, traditional gardens and Buddhist temples transport us to a world where time seems suspended, far from the bustle of the big cities.

Jiuzhaigou National Park: Natural Wonder

In northwestern China, Jiuzhaigou National Park amazes us with its emerald lakes, beautiful waterfalls and lush forests. A total immersion in the unspoilt nature and the splendor of the alpine landscapes.

The Li River: Symphony of Karsts

Sailing the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable sensory experience. The sculptural karst formations along the river offer an impressive visual spectacle immortalized for centuries by Chinese artists.

Zhangjiajie National Park: Between Reality and Fiction

Immortalized by the film "Avatar," the Zhangjiajie National Park transports us into a fantasy world. Its quartzite peaks seem to defy the laws of gravity, while the glass bridge offers a dizzying view of this surreal landscape.

Days 1-4: Beijing

- Day 1: Arrival in Beijing, hotel accommodation and first exploration of the city.

- Day 2: Visit the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.

- Day 3: Great Wall Excursion to Badaling or Mutianyu.

- Day 4: Discover the Summer Palace and Hutong district by rickshaw.

Days 5-8: Xi'an

- Day 5: High-speed train trip to Xi’an.

- Day 6: Terracotta Army and Muslim Quarter Tour.

- Day 7: Explore the city walls and Little Wild Goose Pagoda Park.

- Day 8: Tasting of local culinary specialties and visit the musical fountain of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda.

Days 9-12: Chengdu and Leshan

- Day 9: Travel to Chengdu by high-speed train.

- Day 10: Meet the pandas at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Centre.

- Day 11: Excursion to Leshan to visit the Giant Buddha of Leshan, the world’s largest stone Buddha statue.

- Day 12: Relax in Mount Emei Park and hike to the top for panoramic views.

Days 13-16: Guilin and Yangshuo

- Day 13: Fly to Guilin.

- Day 14: Cruise the Li River to Yangshuo past iconic karst peaks.

- Day 15: Hike or bike through the surrounding countryside.

- Day 16: Return to Guilin and visit Reed Flute Caves.

Days 17-20: Zhangjiajie

- Day 17: Fly to Zhangjiajie.

- Day 18: Explore Zhangjiajie National Park, including glass bridge and outdoor elevators.

- Day 19: Hike through the scenic landscapes of the park, including Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie Valley.

- Day 20: Visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, with its unique rock formations.

Days 21-24: Shanghai

- Day 21: Fly to Shanghai.

- Day 22: Explore the Bund and Shanghai’s iconic skyscrapers.

- Day 23: Visit Yuyuan Gardens and the Old French Concession District.

- Day 24: Explore the Shanghai Museum and walk along the Huangpu River.

Days 25-30: Beijing (second stay) and departure

- Days 25-28: Return to Beijing by high-speed train and visit remaining sites, such as the Temple of the Lamas, the Summer Palace and the Olympic Park.

- Day 29: Free time to shop and hunt for souvenirs.

- Day 30: Departure from Beijing and end of tour in China.
