The union representing WestJet’s 4,600 flight attendants opened a strike vote Wednesday (July 8), asking members to back a strike mandate as contract negotiations with the airline continue. “A strong vote doesn't mean a strike will happen – it means we are united and prepared to stand behind our priorities,” wrote CUPE’s WestJet Component on Facebook.

Sandra Pennington is moving on from Celebrity Cruises. In a post shared to Facebook, Pennington announced that she has concluded her role as sales manager, ending a ten-and-a-half-year run. "It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for the relationships, friendships, and memories made along the way,” Pennington wrote. Her next move has not yet been announced.
