The union representing WestJet’s 4,600 flight attendants opened a strike vote Wednesday (July 8), asking members to back a strike mandate as contract negotiations with the airline continue. “A strong vote doesn't mean a strike will happen – it means we are united and prepared to stand behind our priorities,” wrote CUPE’s WestJet Component on Facebook.
