Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) has appointed Stuart Morcombe as manager, business development and network support – a position that took effect on Nov. 24, 2025. In his new role, Morcombe will oversee the organization, planning, and growth of TDC's franchisee and affiliate business across Canada (excluding Quebec).

The Dominican Republic has once again prolonged a temporary exemption to its standard requirement that passports be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. Effective June 1, 2024, the “exceptional measure” allows Canadians travelling to the Dominican Republic solely for tourism, to enter using a passport without the six-month validity requirement.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has launched a 30-day consultation on a proposed change that would maintain border security while removing the requirement for passengers transiting through a Canadian airport to an international destination to check in with the CBSA.

Adults-only cruise line Virgin Voyages has launched the “2026 Alaska Summer Season Pass,” which equates to one month aboard its new ship, Brilliant Lady, and a backdrop of glaciers, wildlife, midnight sunsets. Calling it a “residency at sea," the company says the pass, starting at $26,000, will equip guests with gear curated for a month of adventure.

All aboard! TDC Campus’ Sales Academy at Sea set sail Sunday (Nov. 30) from Port Everglades aboard the new Sun Princess, with nearly 120 travel pros on board. The bilingual event, which PAX is covering exclusively, comes as luxury and cruise travel sees significant demand and growth, says Sandra Wesson, director of product and industry relations at TDC.
