The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) has outlined a plan for restoring hospitality facilities that have housed evacuees during the war, and for revitalizing tourism. In a press release Tuesday (Nov. 26), the IMOT said Israel has shown “remarkable resilience” during the conflict. Minister Haim Katz has launched a strategy that allocates resources to restore hospitality facilities and prepare them to welcome international tourists.

Carnival Corporation has made changes to its global leadership team for Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Seabourn. Gus Antorcha, currently president of Holland America Line, has been named president of Princess Cruises, replacing John Padgett. While Beth Bodensteiner has been promoted to president of the cruise line. Seabourn also welcomes Mark Tamis as its new president.

Arajet, the Dominican low-cost airline, launched operations at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) yesterday (Nov. 26) in a ceremony attended by executives from Puntacana Group, Dominican aviation authorities, and Arajet's leadership team. The event also marked a milestone as Arajet surpassed one million passengers in 2024 - the first Dominican airline to achieve this in a single year.

Windstar Cruises’ new Star Seeker, the first Star Class new build, has floated out at the WestSEA Shipyard in Portugal. With a 224-guest capacity and a 1:2 staff-to-guest ratio, the ship will debut in December 2025, sailing from Málaga to Miami, where it will be christened in January 2026.

Nexion Travel Group Canada has made staffing changes as company president, Mike Foster, prepares to step down from his role. In an email to members this month, Jackie Friedman, president of Nexion Travel Group, revealed that Esther Roemmele has become director of Canada operations and that Alex Foster, Mike's Foster’s son, is now a sales specialist. Friedman also revealed that she will become president for both Nexion-Canada and the U.S.

New technology that alerts airport gate agents with an audible sound if a passenger tries to scan a ticket ahead of their assigned group has been expanded to more than 100 airports in the United States, the Associated Press reports. The new boarding software, which is being used by American Airlines, aims to reduce problems caused by people who cut lines during the boarding process.
