WestJet is adding temporary enhancements to Boeing 737 aircraft that were once operated by ultra-low-cost-carrier Swoop to provide guests with a Premium option, like preferred seating, more elbow room, priority boarding, snacks and travel credits. The move also applies to newly-acquired leased Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, and in 2025, Sunwing’s planes.

Hyatt Hotels is planning to grow its Inclusive Collection by entering 50/50 joint venture with Spanish hospitality group Grupo Pinero, which owns Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts. The deal is expected to expand Hyatt’s all-inclusive room portfolio by approximately 30 per cent, according to a press release.

Tauck says two new ships will be joining the company’s fleet of riverboats in 2026. The two ships, which have not yet been named, will launch in spring 2026 following construction next year in Serbia and The Netherlands. They ships include a 135-meter vessel that will sail along the Rhone in France.

Etihad Airways officially welcomed the arrival of its first Airbus A350, which touched down at Toronto Pearson airport (YYZ) on Sunday (Oct. 27). The introduction of the A350 to Toronto, in addition to expanding daily services to Boston, reflect “our ambitious growth plans in 2024,” said Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer Arik De.

MSC Cruises has announced that it will sail to Alaska for the very first time, with new itineraries now open for booking. MSC Poesia will homeport in Seattle, U.S., for the season and depart weekly on seven-night sailings to Alaska and Canada starting May 11, 2026, the cruise line says.
