The multi-day tourism symposium, which unfolds amid the Israel-Gaza war, has caught the attention of Jordan's national media.

Over 100 suppliers, partners, advisors and select travel media gathered at Valerie cocktail bar at Hotel X in Toronto on Wednesday night (June 5) to celebrate the official rebrand of Independent By Flight Centre as Envoyage. The rebrand, which is gradually being rolled out in countries around the world, will unify the more than 2,000 agencies that are part of Flight Centre Travel Group’s independent division.

Porter Airlines is inaugurating service between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and St. John’s International Airport (YYT) today (June 6), becoming the only airline to connect the two destinations with non-stop flights. Flemming Friisdahl, TTAND’s founder, also shared company updates regarding technology. Omar Banihani, director of marketing for Canada at the Jordan Tourism Board, called the event "the best thing for us to do."

Travellers can now use each partner's distribution channels to book direct and connecting flights with either Air Transat or Porter, significantly increasing their access to a range of destinations around the world.

Yesterday (June 4), Brand USA launched its first-ever Canada Connect event at The Vault Room in downtown Toronto’s One King West hotel.
The gathering brought together Canadian buyers, including tour operators, airlines, and online travel agencies, with representatives from 37 U.S. destinations, attractions, and products, sparking new opportunities and collaborations. The event format will continue this week in Montreal (June 5) and Calgary (June 6).
