Air Canada announced today (June 3) the expansion of its service to India. The airline is adding 40 per cent more seat capacity beginning late October for the winter 2024-25 season.

Air Canada pilots announced on Sunday (June 2) their intent to request the minister of labour assign a federal conciliator to assist with stalled contract negotiations with the airline. The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) said in a video message that the two sides are still not close to a deal following a year of contract talks.

WestJet on Thursday (May 30) reached a tentative agreement with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), representing WestJet Encore pilots, on the second collective bargaining agreement between the organizations. The agreement successfully averts a work stoppage and both parties await the second ratification vote to be put forward to membership.

AmaWaterways has two new ships launching in 2026: AmaKaia will join AmaDara on the Mekong and AmaSofia will sail Europe’s Rhine and Danube Rivers. With an expected launch date of May 24, 2026, AmaSofia will be the luxury line’s 24th ship to sail Europe’s most popular rivers. AmaKaia is slated to sail its first seven-night itinerary on Aug. 3, 2026.
