The 2024 Summer Olympics is expected to be one of the biggest events in Paris' history. Big crowds are expected, so Atout France is urging travel advisors to "think differently" about ways to book travel in France next year. To help inspire new itineraries, and travel hacks, destination partners, including Air Canada, Occitanie, Normandy and Le Boat, met with media last night in Toronto.

Delays and heavy crowds are being reported at Toronto Pearson’s Terminal 1 transborder hall after arriving passengers were apparently led through the wrong door. According to a tweet posted to X by Toronto Pearson on Thursday morning (Nov. 9), passengers are holding due to an apparent error made by airport staff.

Margaritaville at Sea is adding three-night weekend sails, including new “Saturdays at Sea” experiences, for August through December 2024.
Departing Friday and returning Monday, the three-night itinerary includes a full Saturday at sea, featuring new dining, entertainment, and other experiences, such as a “Bottoms Up Party Brunch” with live music, special menus and drinks.

Carnival is adding more fun from the West Coast, including a new cruise to kick off Carnival Firenze’s debut in Long Beach, Calif. next spring.

Lynx Air’s inaugural service between Calgary and Orlando took off Nov. 7 from Calgary International Airport (YYC) to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The "ultra-affordable" airline will operate two flights per week between Calgary and Orlando, flying brand-new Boeing 737 aircraft.

The CEO of the Martinique Tourism Authority called it an “historic moment.” Bruno Brival, his team and partners were in Toronto Tuesday night (Nov. 7) to meet with the travel trade and celebrate Air Canada’s new route to Martinique – a seasonal program of direct flights, starting Dec. 16, between Toronto and Fort de France.

She's not retiring. Dondra Ritzenthaler, formally senior vice-president of sales, trade support and service for the Americas at Celebrity, will join Azamara as CEO in May of 2024, PAX has learned. In a statement, Ritzenthaler said she is "thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the company into its next chapter."
