Saint Lucia Minister of Tourism Hon. Dominic Fedee has released a new video message to address the Canadian market.
Canada is Saint Lucia’s third largest international market for visitor arrivals.
Last year the island welcomed more than 40,000 Canadians, the highest visitor arrivals from Canada to date.
"Your love for travel, and our pension for hosting makes us great partners," Fedee said in the video message. "As we are keeping our island safe, we hope that you are safe, so that when we host you, you will be ready to travel."
Saint Lucia has taken extensive safety measures to protect its people and visitors to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As new health and safety policies are being implemented, Hon. Dominic Fedee encourages Canadians to stand by Saint Lucia and the Caribbean during this global pandemic, with the hopes of welcoming Canadians back to the island once travel bans are lifted.
