Sell a lot of Antigua & Barbuda? You may be eligible for a free trip.

If you’re a travel agent that sells a lot Antigua and Barbuda, you may just be eligible for a free trip to the twin-island Caribbean destination known for its 365 beaches.

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is offering its top selling travel agents a free Rewards FAM to its native land from Dec. 9-12, complimented by a luxurious stay at Antigua’s Blue Waters Resort and Spa.

“The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Office is passionate about our relationship with our travel trade, more specifically our travel agents,” Tameka Wharton, sales and marketing manager at Antigua and Barbuda’s Toronto-based office, told PAX.

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) will cover all travel essentials – the return flight via WestJet, accommodations and “other surprises,” Wharton said.

The catch? Agents need to log their bookings on ABTA’s learning site so the tourism board knows which agents are selling the most product.

“We don't receive information on which agents are selling and promoting the destination unless bookings are logged, so we are encouraging agents to take a minute or two to let us know that you are a part of this strong partnership,” Wharton told PAX.

Not only is the ABTA’s learning site the place where agents can log their bookings, it is also a valuable training resource that offers six educational modules about Antigua and Barbuda as a tourism destination.

Travel agents that complete ABTA’s modules receive an official certification, which puts them to the front of the line for rewards and future FAM trip considerations.

The itinerary for the ABTA’s upcoming Rewards FAM will be created by those top-selling agents who are selected to attend.

“This FAM is more about soaking up the sun and enjoying the fruits of your labour,” Wharton told PAX.

Most importantly, in order to qualify for the trip, travel agents need to log all of their Antigua and Barbuda bookings on www.antiguabarbudata.com by this Saturday, November 10th, 2018, at Midnight.

Travel agents can also get a head start for next year as the ABTA will host a similar Rewards Fam in December 2019, which will include select top-selling agents with logged bookings as of January 1st, 2019.
