One love: JTB hosts screenings of Bob Marley film for travel advisors
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has been treating travel advisors to a night out at the movies, hosting a series of special screenings of the new film Bob Marley: One Love this month at select Canadian cinemas.
Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the biographical musical movie starring Kingsley Ben-Adir tells the story of Jamaican singer-songwriter Bob Marley and how he overcame adversity to become the most famous reggae musician in the world.
The JTB has partnered with Sandals and Couples Resorts to host the events, which kicked off at cinemas in Toronto and Calgary last week.
The tourism board will be hosting similar events in markets across the country.
Here’s what on the calendar for the rest of the month:
- February 20 - St. Catharines, ON
- February 21 - Oakville, ON
- February 26 - Brossard, South Shore Montreal, QC
“Bob Marley is a Jamaican icon and we’re thrilled to see his story come to life on the big screen this winter, bringing his message of love and unity to audiences around the world,” said Angella Bennett, regional director for Canada at the JTB, in a statement. “Canadian travel advisors have shown so much support to the destination and we are pleased to have the opportunity to share the love with them this February during this special screening events alongside our partners from Sandals and Couples.”
