The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has concluded its "Come Feel the Vibe Canada Roadshow," which brought the vibrant spirit of Jamaica to key Canadian cities from June 2-5.

The events connected Jamaican tourism partners with over 60 influential meeting planners and group specialists, reinforcing the island’s position as a premier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) and group travel.

Many of the registered planners had groups booked for Jamaica ranging from 20 to 600 passengers.

The roadshow commenced on June 2 at The Baron Venue in Calgary, followed by a stop on June 4 at the Sofitel Carré Doré in Montreal, and culminated on June 5 at Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen in Toronto.

At each venue, Director of Sales Dan Hamilton hosted the 'Come Feel the Vibe' roadshow, presenting what Jamaica has on offer for incentive, MICE, and corporate groups.

“MICE represents a major segment of our target audience and this is just one of the many ways we engage with these large groups to showcase all Jamaica has to offer. As Jamaica continues to build our more infrastructure we look forward to having more of the MICE market on island” said Angella Bennett, regional director for Canada at the JTB.

All stops on the roadshow provided an immersive dinner experience, featuring authentic Jamaican cuisine, refreshing rum punch, and a captivating one-man steel pan entertainer, truly bringing Jamaica’s unique "vibe" to Canada.

Attendees included representatives from leading tour operators and resorts such as Sunwing Vacations, Air Canada Vacations, H10 Hotels, Half Moon, Princess Resorts, Secrets Resorts, Sandals and Beaches, and Palladium Hotel Group.

Local Destination Management Company, Jamaica Tours Limited, also presented their diverse offerings, highlighting the seamless experiences available for groups visiting Jamaica.

"The 'Come Feel the Vibe Canada Roadshow' allowed Destination Jamaica to directly engage with our valuable Canadian partners and showcase the unparalleled group offerings available in Jamaica," said Dan Hamilton, director of sales, Jamaica Tourist Board. "The enthusiasm and engagement from the attendees in Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto underscore the strong demand for Jamaica as a top-tier destination for meetings, incentives, and leisure groups. We are committed to fostering these vital relationships and looking forward to welcoming more Canadian visitors to our beautiful island."

Jamaica's tourism landscape continues to expand with significant new developments.

Notably, a new Moon Palace Montego Bay resort is planned to add 1,250 rooms and the 450-room Unico Hotel is slated to open this summer in Montego Bay, featuring a new adults-only, all-inclusive luxury experience.
