Get a taste of Cuba at Gastrocult, a new culinary event for foodies
Cuba has announced a tasty new event for foodies and culinary connoisseurs alike.
Gastrocult, the country’s first ever gastro show, will take place in January 2019. Organized by cultural tourism agency, Paradiso, the Ministry of Tourism and Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, this three-day event will showcase the best of Cuban culture through food, workshops and tasting events.

Gastrocult 2019 will be held at the five-star Iberostar Grand Packard and Iberostar Parque Central hotels in Havana, bringing together Cuban and international chefs to share delightful culinary masterpieces.
The festivities kick off on Jan. 8, 2019 and runs through to Jan. 10, 2019. More than a celebration of culinary creations, the event will give attendants the opportunity to increase their knowledge of wine pairings and attend various concerts featuring Cuban musicians. Specific activities and presentations include:
- Cooking Show – Chef President Eddy Fernández Monte of the A.C.C.
- Concerts by Haila María Mompié, Dcuba and Alaín Pérez
- Wine and cheese pairings with speaker Don Miguel Torres, owner of Bodegas Torres of Spain
- A presentation on Cuban rum and cigar pairings
- Additional presentations and events from local and international experts
Iberostar Grand Packard and Iberostar Parque Central are offering packages for the gastro show; including four nights accommodation with breakfast included, passes to GASTROCULT, and transfers to and from the airport upon arrival and departure.
