Discover The Palm Beaches celebrates new Porter flight
(Discover The Palm Beaches)

Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB) is celebrating Porter Airlines’ new route that connects Toronto Pearson with West Palm Beach.

“This new and direct route from Canada makes it easier than ever for Canadians to experience the beauty of The Palm Beaches. It enhances connectivity with our largest international market and will help boost Canadian tourism for the season,” said Milton Segarra, president and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches, in a press release. “Together with our airline partners, we’re offering a memorable and elevated travel experience with unforgettable moments here in The Palm Beaches.”

As previously reported, the nonstop, daily service to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is operated on Porter's 132-seat Embraer E195-E2, a two-by-two configuration aircraft, which means no middle seats.

The Palm Beaches is a fascinating county of 39 unique cities in South Florida – from Jupiter in the north to Boca Raton in the south – located about a half hour north of Fort Lauderdale airport, and some two-and-half hours south of Orlando and Kissimmee.

Canada remains The Palm Beaches' top international market, with Canadian visitation seeing a five per cent increase this year, reaching more than 224,000 visitors from January through June 2024.

With this new Porter route, DTPB looks forward to welcoming even more Canadians to experience “America’s first resort destination” – a title given to The Palm Beaches for its role in attracting the late American industrialist Henry Morrison Flagler, who built a railroad that brought vacationing Americans from the north down to Florida in the late 1800s, spawning hotels and golf courses.
