Anguilla ranks third on Travel+Leisure's 2024 World's Best Awards
Anguilla has once again made a strong showing in Travel+Leisure’s prestigious 2024 World’s Best Awards, securing top spots on several esteemed lists.
The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) proudly announced that the island claimed the #3 position on the readers’ 25 Favorite Islands in the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Bahamas list for 2024. Additionally, Anguilla climbed three spots to #18 on the Top 25 Islands in the World list compared to its 2023 ranking.
According to Travel+Leisure editors and readers, Anguilla’s allure lies in its stunning beaches and warm hospitality.
Visitors and survey respondents alike praised the island for its picturesque landscapes, with many describing it as a true paradise. One enthusiastic respondent gushed, "White beaches, clear blue waters — once you visit Anguilla, you don’t want to go home! One word: amazing."
From the renowned crystal-clear waters of Shoal Bay East to the tranquil coves of Maundays Bay and Meads Bay, Travel+Leisure readers highlighted Anguilla as an ideal destination for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and relaxation.
"We are thrilled that Anguilla continues to be recognized among the top islands in the Caribbean and worldwide in Travel+Leisure’s esteemed awards," said Mrs. Stacey Liburd, Director of Tourism at the Anguilla Tourist Board. "This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing visitor experiences and accessibility to our remarkable destination."
The accolades extended beyond the island itself, with three Anguillian resorts securing places on the readers’ 25 Favorite Resort Hotels in the Caribbean, Bermuda, and The Bahamas list. Malliouhana Resort on Meads Bay ranked #19, followed closely by Frangipani Beach Resort at #20, and the Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club at #23.
Each year, Travel+Leisure’s World’s Best Awards survey invites readers to share their travel experiences and opinions on various categories including hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise lines, spas, and airlines.
The 2024 survey garnered over 186,000 responses, reflecting the preferences of travelers worldwide.
