Virtuoso ends preferred supplier relationship with Disney

Virtuoso has ended its 14-year preferred supplier partnership with Walt Disney Travel Co., citing a recent change in Disney Cruise Line’s onboard booking policy.

The move was made in response to Disney’s recently-announced commission cap of 10 per cent for onboard bookings; Virtuoso said that its agents frequently earn higher commissions than the cap allows from clients booking their next cruise while still aboard the ship.

Virtuoso stated that it will be "focusing on partners who demonstrate support of the travel advisor community is its guiding principle," calling Disney’s move an “unfortunate decision."
