Transat takes 19 Canadian travel advisors to Morocco
From September 7 to 15, Transat welcomed 19 Canadian travel advisors on an exclusive journey through Morocco, flying with Air Transat.
The immersive FAM offered them the chance to dive deep into Morocco’s rich culture and history while experiencing its stunning scenery firsthand.
"This trip was a testament the exceptional quality of our product, by collaborating with our hand-picked local partners. Thanks to their unique insight, we were able to offer participants an exciting opportunity to truly explore Morocco. Travel agents are now armed with knowledge that will appeal to their more adventurous clients looking for something meaningful. As you know, our profession is all about creating those unforgettable moments and encouraging travellers to step out of their comfort zones for a deeper, more enriching experience, and I believe Morocco is a great place to do that," said Dima Fahed, Transat's account manager for the greater Toronto Area, in a press release.

The itinerary featured some of the most famous destinations in Morocco, as well as immersive cultural experience filled with history, crafts and traditional Moroccan hospitality, thanks to local partner Jumbo Tours:
The souks and palm groves of Marrakech
- The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, one of the world’s largest
- The Old Medina of Fes
- The Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, where famous movies such as Gladiator, The Mummy, and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed
- The fortified village of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Participants were excited by what they saw along the way and were eager to share what they learned with their most curious customers.
“Morocco was an absolute dream come true with amazing and unforgettable moments. This was truly a famtrip done with class. I'm so grateful to have experienced such a unique adventure and will be recommending the highlights to future clients,” said Gisella Alvaro at PG Travel, in a statement.
Alex Jorgenson, travel consultant at Murdoch Travel, was equally excited about her experience:
“We had the most amazing tour guides; everyone was so knowledgeable and always prepared for any of the millions of questions we might have had. Getting to see and learn so much about the people and country of Morocco in our 1-week stay worked incredibly well. Everything was expertly planned,” Jorgenson said in a press release.
Kevin Dupuis, travel advisor at TripCentral, was also pleased to go.
“If you're looking for an amazing travel experience, Morocco is the place to be! From the action-packed souks of Marrakech and Fes to the breathtaking landscapes of the Sahara, Morocco offers a rich tapestry of culture, history and adventure. Whether you're exploring the bustling streets or relaxing in a riad, Morocco promises an enchanting journey,” said Dupuis in the press release.
“Many thanks to Transat Holidays and Jumbo Tours for an excellent and thorough introduction to Morocco and the different types of products (tour, flight/hotel or riad) on offer. We covered a lot of ground, sights and activities in one week. When future clients ask me about Morocco, I will put Transat at the top of the list. The tours are high quality and great value for money. Other agents will know that the all-inclusive clientele are always asking for new destinations; I'll be sure to let them know that they should consider Morocco. Now that we know it, we can sell it,” added Brian Kendrick at TravelOnly, who was also quoted in the press release.
Transat launched packages, tours and excursions in Morocco in November of last year. The fights to Marrakesh out of Montreal operate twice a week in the summer (June to October) and once a week in the winter (November to April) aboard a new-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft.
